State Requirements: Every state has different requirements regarding auction education and licensing. All states with license laws have specific age requirements for license applicants and stipulations for applicants with past felony convictions. Please contact your state board to obtain information regarding these requirements. Nashville Auction School works closly with state licensing boards to stay abreast of the laws and changes as they occur. Some states require school attendance over a ten-day period. For these students, we require them to report to school a day earlier than the posted scheduled date.

For information on how to contact your state licensing officials, please visit the “Helpful Links” section on this site, or contact the Nashville Auction School offices at 931-393-4735 or by e-mail us at nas@learntoauction.com.
Enrollment: A student may enroll electronically by submitting the form found under Enrollment. The student may also call the toll-free number shown above and enroll by phone.
Refund Policy: If a student cancels enrollment in any course within seventy-two (72) hours of the beginning of a course, all money paid to Nashville Auction School as fees or tuition will be refunded, except the non-refundable deposit. Please allow one (1) to two (2) weeks for delivery of refund, although every effort will be made to refund your tuition on the day your request is received in the office. Tuition deposits are non-refundable; however, they can be credited to a future session for up to one year.
Placement Assistance: NAS does not provide placement assistance to students. Students must find their own places in auction firms or sponsors.
Transferable Credits: Nashville Auction School is a special purpose institution designed to educate and train individuals to become auctioneers. This purpose does not include preparing students for further college study. Students should be aware that transfer of credit is always the responsibility of the receiving institution. NAS does not issue transferable credits. Due to the special purpose nature of this program, credit will be given, as appropriate, to veterans or other eligible persons who have prior documented training in auctioneering.
Student Progress: A progress report form will be placed in each student's file. Each day of the course, the instructor and school on-site manager will discuss the progress of each student. Students will be rated and the progress recorded in the student file. Students are required to attend each session. Tardiness and absences will be monitored by the school staff. Any student who is tardy for class two days will be counseled. Students missing portions of days or full days must make up classes during evenings. Excess tardiness or absences may result in dismissal from the school term. An exam will be given and graded on the last day of the course. Student must pass the exam with a seventy percent (70%) to obtain diploma and transcript. Due to the accelerated, short-term nature of our curriculum, this is a Pass/Fail program. Veterans and other eligible persons may be certified to VA only once, to attend.
Student Conduct: Students are required to conduct themselves in a proper manner at all times. Students will be provided a set of rules at the beginning of the class term and students are expected to abide by all rules. Failure to adhere to school rules may result in dismissal. A copy of the school rules may be obtained prior to attendance by making the request when you enroll.
Problem Resolution: Any complaints should be made in writing and directed to Wendell Hanson, President, Nashville Auction School, 112 W. Lauderdale St., Tullahoma, Tennessee, 37388; telephone (931) 393-4735. If a complaint is not settled at the institutional level, the student may contact the Tennessee Higher Education commission, Nashville, Tennessee 37243-0830, telephone (615) 741-3605.
