NAS offers an 85-hour pre license course. This course covers the fundamentals for all states that require licensure. This course is designed to cover the basics of auctioneering in an easy-to-understand format that meets the education requirements of licensure states. In addition, students will be provided with the fundamentals of auctioneering with the strong emphasis on ethics and professional. Content includes:

• Laws, Rules and Regulations Governing Auctioneers
• Livestock Auctions
• Professionalism
• Public Relations
• Public Speaking
• Real Estate Auctions

Pre-Requisites: This course is a state mandated program for Tennessee licensed auctioneers wishing to obtain a Tennessee Public Automobile Auctioneer or Public Automobile Auction License. This program is open to licensed auctioneers meeting the pre-requisite requirements established by statute and the rules and regulations of the Tennessee Auctioneer Commission. This program has been approved to be offered online-only beginning February 2021.

This course meets the new 2019 Tennessee educational requirement for those interested in seeking a Tennessee auctioneer license. This program is the same program as the Auctioneering 101 offering without any bid calling or bid calling related instruction. This is a five-day interactive virtual classroom program that is approved for TN licensing only or for students from non-licensing states who choose to opt-out of bid calling instruction. This course also qualifies for pre-license education in the state of Mississippi.
